Why the Train Bot button is disabled.
Symptom#
The Train Bot button is disabled.
Cause#
Training is allowed only when the bot is UNTRAINED or OUTDATED, and the workspace must be writable.
Fix checklist#
| Check | What to do |
|---|---|
| No documents | Upload at least one supported file. |
| Status READY | No training is needed unless documents changed. |
| Status PENDING | Wait or cancel the current training job. |
| Team read-only | Wait for the owner/operator to restore writable access. |
| Daily credits exhausted | Wait for UTC reset or upgrade. |
| Existing job | Training is already in progress for this bot. |
If you changed a prompt only#
System prompt changes apply to new conversations without retraining. Retrain only when knowledge documents changed.
